Rick and I managed to maintain pace yesterday and finished in 3:44:37! I am happy to have finally been on pace as a pacer! :)
This is us as we got ready to cross the finish line. Nice to see a big smile on my face at the finish! This was right after a very special moment that was captured on camera by the wonderful Gregg Gelmis. Stay tuned for more pictures and the whole story!

This picture is so sweet! How neat that you got to share the experience with Rick!
ReplyDeleteLove it! And I can't wait for the rest of the story and more pics! Congrats on a successful and fun pacing experience. I hope one day I'll be able to be a pacer again for this marathon and it would be so fun if Jason paced with me!
ReplyDeleteGreat job pacing!
ReplyDeleteAwww! Look at you two! Great job keeping your pace right on the money! One of my former XC teammates, Scott, just ran in the Rocket City Marathon and came in 2nd overall. I've been keeping up with his running on FB but I think this was his first marathon and he ran a 2:26! And my husbands students came in 3rd overall. (He was the guy who ran in the same HM I did in September and got hit by a car but kept running. He would have won that Half but after he got hit- around mile 8, it slowed him down and he lost by 4 seconds to someone else. I think this was his first marathon too and he ran a 2:27!
